If your idea of a steak night is a chain with a laminated menu, we need to talk. These four are the real deal — and yeah, we're calling out the exact thing to order at each one.

Council Oak Steaks & Seafood — Tampa (Seminole Hard Rock)

This is the "we're celebrating something" steakhouse. Prime cuts, a raw bar, and a room that feels like an occasion. Weekend lunch exists too (11:30am–4pm Sat/Sun) if you want the vibe without the late-night price tag.

📍 Where: 5223 Orient Rd, Tampa, FL — Hillsborough County

Beau & Mo's Chicago Style Steakhouse — St. Petersburg

Chicago by way of St. Pete — dim lighting, crooner music, and Aussie Wagyu. Go on a Thursday for the 20oz Chateaubriand for two ($129, comes with salad + burrata ravioli + dessert) and thank us later. Closed Sun/Mon, so plan around it.

📍 Where: 2924 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL — Pinellas County

Big Jim's Steakhouse & Tavern — Largo

Largo institution since 2000, back under original ownership and better for it. Hand-cut Allen Brothers steaks, weekend prime rib, and a speakeasy getting a glow-up. Less "special occasion," more "your new regular spot."

📍 Where: 10395 Seminole Blvd, Largo, FL — Pinellas County

Birkin's Steakhouse and Sushi Bar — down Carrollwood

The wildcard on this list — steakhouse on one side, full sushi bar on the other. Order the 24oz porterhouse AND the Giant Buda Roll, split it with whoever you brought, no notes. Open Wed–Sun starting at 3pm.

📍 Where: 16411 N Florida Ave, Lutz, FL — Hillsborough County (mailing address is Lutz, but ask any local and they'll just tell you it's down Carrollwood)

Bottom line: which one's getting your next Friday night? 👇
