The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s (DFAC’s) 39th Annual Garden Party Celebrates a NEW Food Arts Program!
So many organizations have come to use the arts and artists as centerpieces for major fundraising events. All you need is a location, some artwork, and PRESTO, you have yourself an event. In the Tampa Bay area, one organization has been doing this type of event long enough (this is their 39th year!), and is tied to the arts closely enough (they ARE an art center after all!) to claim ownership of the idea and put on what Tampa Bay Magazine calls the “Best Social Event in the Tampa Bay area.”
The Dunedin Fine Art Center’s 2019 Garden Party which is presented by DFAC’s board of directors will celebrate the long-anticipated and newly opened Food Arts Studio at DFAC. With the theme of Taste of Art, we have to agree with Tampa Bay Magazine, this is one event you need to attend. The party will feature LIVE music with the chill sounds of Transitions, an Art & Non-Art Auction, and an unbeatable selection of great food that’s NOT to be missed! So, mark 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm –April 7th on your calendar and make your reservation today.
“We’re SO excited to be featuring this “tasty” addition to DFAC’s program offerings,” said Steve Beaty, co-chair of this year’s event along with his wife Marie. “Food has always played an important role at DFAC’s Garden Parties in the past. This year we bring it center stage to focus on the amazing new culinary space we have just built and the delectable class offerings that go along with it!”
“Yes, it’s a great party, but more important, is the actual effect that the proceeds from our Garden Party have on the vitality and diversity of Dunedin Fine Art Center” insists DFAC Board Chairperson, London Bates. “Art changes lives and this is most evident at DFAC. We can talk about the economics of the arts and the sense of place, all of which are really important, but most of all: the children, teens and adults who take class at DFAC, view and learn from the exhibits, and share friendships are the ones who benefit from this great community resource” she concludes.
Tickets are available beginning at $160 / person ($185 for non-members) until April 5th on DFAC’s website at www.dfac.org. Tickets will be available at the door of the event for $180 and $205. Call 727.298.DFAC for more information.
