Improvements to the North Marina Area and Seminole Boat Launch are coming soon.
The city of Clearwater has selected a contractor, the project is fully funded and the ground breaking should occur in about 60 days, said Michael Delk, the city’s Planning and Development Department director. The contractor’s work should take around seven months to complete.
We are super excited for this project to kick off!
PS- if you were not aware, the Harborview Center demolition is in the process of getting rolling AND all the tenants of City Hall are now located at One Clearwater Tower on Cleveland street. Progress every day 🙂
The Seminole Boat Ramp improvements and enhancements include:
- New transient boat slips
- New kayak launch area
- New parking area
- New landscaping
- New lighting
- New permanent restrooms
- Enhanced public walkways
- Additional public benches
- New trail extension towards the Pinellas Trail

“It’s a major commitment and improvement to the Old Bay and North Clearwater communities,” said Michael Delk, the city’s Planning and Development director. “It’s already having a positive impact on the property values in that area.”
