Aside from tasty sandwiches they also have a “made to order” juice bar, and sometimes if you are lucky they will have a freshly baked batch of cookies warm and ready for you.
The thing I love the most is the simplicity of the menu and the freedom they have to add or change stuff. On a regular basis you will find a new random sandwich made with fresh organic ingredients. This Reuben was all kinds of delicious!
I personally love a big Dagwood sized sandwich, but for a quick inexpensive lunch that doesn’t leave you needing a nap afterward this was perfect. Typically if something has black olives I would ask to have them left out, but since we started our review I am trying to experience dishes as they are designed.
That being said, still not crazy about the black olives, but they did not have an over powering flavor and the juiciness of the corn beef and sour kraut led the flavor rush.
Duckweed has become one of our Downtown’s corner stone hangouts. Tasty food, lots of different beers, and a great staff.
Are you in downtown? Is it lunch time? Head on over!
